Evaluation of the Acoustic Environment of Urban Recreational Trails

The acoustic environment state of four recreational trails in Taichung was investigated. First, the basic forms, spatial proportions, characteristics trail interfaces, and sound sources spaces were Second, pressure level measurement a questionnaire survey conducted relation to trails. measurements demonstrated that levels are lower than permissible exposure limit 90 dB(A) recommended by Occupational Safety Health Administration. Meanwhile, results factor analysis show perception has five dimensions: likability, intensity, communication, joyfulness, richness. Compared with environments other cities, this city characterized more dimensions balanced structure.
